MAYOR MENINO SETS THE NORTHERN AVENUE BRIDGE AND THE FORT POINT CHANNEL AGLOW!
On Wednesday, December 6, 2006 over 130
colleagues, friends, and family members joined Mayor Thomas M. Menino
and the Friends of Fort Point Channel as the Mayor flipped the switch
at the Second Annual Northern Avenue Bridge Illumination.
This year, in addition to the traditional evergreen trees that
have illuminated the bridge in the past, the bridge itself was outlined
in holiday lights, as was the brand new HarborWalk Tree at the
InterContinental Hotel. The Mayor thanked Joe Fallon for his
generosity in lighting the Bridge, and the Friends of Fort Point
Channel for sponsoring the entire event again this year.
Pictured at the right with Mayor Menino is Shawn P. Ford, Treasurer of the
Friends of Fort Point Channel and Deborah Allen Carey, the Friends
Executive Director. Thanks also to The Daily Catch for FREE
holiday refreshments, cookies, and steaming cups of hot chocolate!
